September 1, 2026 — Israel’s Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar hosted the third J50 Forum in Jerusalem, bringing together senior representatives of Jewish communities and organizations from dozens of countries. The forum focused on rising antisemitism and stronger cooperation between Israel and Jewish communities worldwide.
The gathering matters because antisemitism is not an abstract debate. It affects the safety of synagogues, schools, students, families and public life. Jewish communities need practical partnerships, clear public leadership and institutions prepared to respond when hatred becomes intimidation or violence.
The forum also reflected the continuing importance of the relationship between Israel and the Diaspora. Israel is the Jewish state; Jewish communities around the world are diverse and independent. Their relationship is strengthened by dialogue, mutual responsibility and respect for differences.
Christian allies have an important role. They can challenge antisemitic rhetoric in their own communities, teach the Jewish roots of Christianity and defend the right of Jewish people to live openly and safely. Support for Israel is most meaningful when it is accompanied by solidarity with Jewish neighbors everywhere.
