Senator Bill Nelson
US Senate

Dear Senator Nelson,

Anne Bayefsky is the Director of The Institute on Human Rights, Touro College, NY.  This position entitles her to access at the UN as a human rights observer.  In November she was forcibly removed from her position, and stripped of her credentials for her outspoken criticism of the UN position on accepting the Goldstone Report.  (A flawed travesty which, as you know, was rejected by a vast majority of the US Congress.)  The report demonizes Israel for its incursion into Gaza to stop unprovoked missile attacks on innocent Israeli citizens.

Bayefsky was the sole voice at the UN who spoke out against the one-sided General Assembly resolutions criticizing Israel while outlawing criticism of radical Islam.  She is accused of an undefined violation and awaits a decision by a Sudan-led committee on NGO’s at the UN.

Please, sir, I urge you to express strong support to the State Department, the President and the UN for Ms. Bayefsky’s return to her position. Her voice must be heard.

I am a Florida resident, voting in Boca Raton.

Respectfully,
